TD Specs

As the assistant technical director, I was mainly focused on learning the ropes of technical directing; from planning a load to drafting plates for the shop. I drafted two units for this production: the flown-in flats upstage and the stage left platform. This was only my second time ever using AutoCAD for drafting so I was still learning some of the basics. Once the head TD approved all the plates, I moved into the scene shop where I led a few build projects ensuring everything was constructed according to the plates we had drafted. Once the permanent set had been constructed I shifted my attention to planning and designing a hand crank that would be used to move one of the platforms up and down the stage. Then once the company had moved in, I trained the crew on how to use the hand crank safely and responsibly.
